Doc's Saloon sits in a building that's been part of Butte's story since 1912. Located in the historic Cabbage Patch neighborhood near the Berkeley Pit, the building once served as boarding rooms for copper miners who came from all over the world to work the richest hill on earth.
The name "Doc's" comes from the owner's own nickname — earned during his years in the military and a fitting nod to the legend of Doc Holliday. There's a spirit of the Old West in this place, and not just the kind you order from behind the bar.
Speaking of spirits — Doc's has a reputation. The basement of this 1912 building has seen things, and the Bozeman Paranormal Society agrees. Regular ghost hunts bring curious visitors face-to-face with the building's unexplained history. Doc's is considered one of Butte's most historically significant and reportedly most haunted locations.
Doc's is currently undergoing an exciting rebrand — new look, new energy, same great bar. We're Butte's neighborhood saloon, open every night of the week for cold drinks, good games, and the kind of conversation you can only have at a place with this much history.
